1. Major Scholarship Schemes (Overview)

Swami Vivekananda (SVMCM)

For meritorious students (General, SC, ST, OBC) from HS to Ph.D. level. Minimum 60% marks required in the qualifying exam.

  • Amount: Up to ₹60,000 per year
  • Eligibility: Family income < ₹2.5 Lakh

2. Kanyashree Prakalpa (For Girls)

A flagship project of the West Bengal Govt. to improve the status and well-being of the girl child.

K1 Annual Grant

For girls aged 13-18 years, studying in Class 8th to 12th.

K2 One-Time Grant

A grant of ₹25,000 provided when a girl turns 18, provided she is still in education.

3. Documents Mandatory for WB Portals

  • Resident Proof: Domicile Certificate or Aadhaar.
  • Income Proof: BDO/SDO/Municipality certificate.
  • Bank Details: Bank passbook with IFSC code (Front page).
  • Marksheets: Scanned copy of the last qualifying exam.
  • Admission Proof: Current year's fee receipt or admission letter.
  • Caste Certificate: If applying under SC/ST/OBC category.

4. Step-by-Step Application Process

New User Registration: Choose your scholarship category (Minority, Merit, or General) and register with a mobile number.
Fill Profile: Enter academic details, income details, and bank account information carefully.
Upload & Lock: Upload all original scanned documents and 'Lock' your application.
Institutional Verification: Your school/college will verify the details online.
